How sustainable is the UvA?

BètaBreak edition October 2017

Towards a sustainable university. The 10th of October is the day for sustainability in the Netherlands. On this day we will be talking with a panel of stakeholders about what the switch to sustainability means for the University of Amsterdam. We’ll ask them what measures the university already has taken and what can be done to perform better. Our guests will be Harold Swartjes, who is involved in the execution of the sustainable agenda at the UvA as director of Facility Services, and Luc de Vries, who is chair of Morgen, a students’ initiative for sustainability at universities across the Netherlands. Join us and ask our guests everything you want to know about sustainability at the UvA!

Speakers

Harold Swartjes (director Facility Services UvA)

Luc de Vries (chairman of the national student organization for sustainability Tomorrow)

Niek Persoon (chairman of the Amsterdam Green Campus)
